Trail and Ultra Running Coaching
I am a UK Athletics and UESCA qualified trail and ultra running coach based in Scotland. I have always enjoyed sport and pushing myself to go faster and further. Through the years I have a competed in triathlon, netball and horse riding so I have always enjoyed incorporating different sports into my training.
In 2023, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune arthritis which has helped me further embrace the adventure side of sport - now I enjoy mixing performance with having fun in the hills. That could mean racing an ultra one month then bikepacking through the Swiss Alps the next month. Balancing multiple sports can be challenging but I believe that they can complement each other to develop your endurance (and wider skills such as line choice, balance and power) rather than compete against each other.
So my approach aims to develop well-rounded and resilient athletes by combining structured training with adaptability. This is to help athletes build fitness to perform well whilst still having the freedom to head into the hills when the sun shines whether that be on foot, bike or otherwise. I focus on training athletes for trail ultras whilst incorporating adventures and cross training such as gravel cycling, mountain biking and bikepacking.
Whether your goal is a trail ultra or simply wanting to become a stronger endurance athlete, I focus on sustainable progress and enjoying the process along the way.

Initial goal-setting call
1 × 30 minute call/video call every ~4-8 weeks to review training and ask any questions
Coaching can be paused if 1-2 weeks' notice is provided
Limited number of athletes are taken on to ensure quality of coaching and communication
